The grandstand brawl occurred during the match between Queretaro and Atlas last night, a match that had to be interrupted at the score 1-0 to visiting Atlas.
The match had to be interrupted when the rowers got out on the football field when the security guards tried to evacuate the spectators.
"There is no report of dead people, 22 people were injured ... two of them seriously," police said in a statement.
