The women's standing slalom event is Zhang Mengqiu's strength, ranking first in the world.

In the first competition, she won silver in the women's downhill standing group competition. In the interview at the award ceremony, Zhang Mengqiu admitted that she wanted to change the medal to gold.

In the next day, among her strongest items, she got what she wished.

Zhang Mengqiu, who was born in 2002, came into contact with alpine skiing in 2016. Although she did not know much about it at the time, she had loved sports since she was a child and decided to participate in this project.

Accompanied by love, there are countless sweats.

Zhang Mengqiu's mother revealed in a previous interview that when she first came into contact with alpine skiing, Zhang Mengqiu's reaction speed was slower than others due to physical reasons.

It takes her two or three times as long to master a movement that others can learn in an hour.

However, Zhang Mengqiu has the strength to not admit defeat. Under the hard training and repeated pondering of technical movements, Zhang Mengqiu was selected for the National Paralympic Alpine Ski Team in 2017, and has gradually improved since then.

At the 2021 Asian Cup in Beijing, Zhang Mengqiu won three gold medals; earlier this year, she won the standing giant slalom gold medal at the 2022 World Cup Steinach am Brenne station.

After the previous women's standing slalom event, Zhang Mengqiu once said: "I have been practicing for 6 years, just for this moment today." Obviously, for Zhang Mengqiu, who refused to admit defeat, it was not just the "moment" yesterday.

Zhang Mengqiu deserves this gold medal!
