Turkish billionaire Mohsen Bayrak enters the buyout line for Chelsea FC

The wealthy Turkish businessman, Mohsen Bayrak, entered the purchase line of the English club Chelsea after its current Russian owner Roman Abramovich put it for sale following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, local media reported on Friday.

Wealthy men from Switzerland and the United States expressed their desire to buy Chelsea after 19 years under Abramovich, which witnessed a golden period for the London club, which won 19 titles during this period, including the English Premier League five times and the European Champions League twice.

"We can absolutely confirm that we have submitted an offer to buy Chelsea," said Sida Bayrak, general manager of the holding company, "Biraq IB Group".

"We want to raise the Turkish flag in London soon. We are negotiating the terms of buying the club with Abramovich's lawyers and we are in the process of negotiations before signing," he added.

Abramovich decided to sell the club, despite the absence of his name on the list of sanctions that affected people close to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

American businessman Toby Boehle, owner of the American baseball club, Los Angeles Dodgers, and his Swiss partner, Hans-Jorg Weiss, have also submitted an application to buy the London club.
