Crowning the winners of the Mohammed bin Rashid Award for Excellence in Horse Racing

The Dubai Racing Club announced today the winners of the His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Award for Excellence in Horse Racing, on the sidelines of the "Super Saturday" evening, which was held at the Meydan International Racecourse.

The winners were crowned by Sheikh Rashid Dalmuk Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Racing Club, in a ceremony that included honoring the winners in the categories: best horse, best owner, best trainer, best jockey, and the Diligent Giving Award, in addition to the two categories of the People’s Choice Award and the best local jockey. The two categories that were determined by racing enthusiasts through electronic voting through the award website, in addition to the addition of an exceptional award for this year's cycle, which is the "Excellence Award".


The Saudi horse "Mushrif" won the award for the best horse for his multiple achievements in the past period, while the award for the best owner went to Prince Abdul Rahman Al-Faisal, and Ted Bout, his racing director, received the award in these two categories.


The award for best coach went to Charlie Appleby from the global “Godolphin” team, and the veteran Italian Frankie Dettori won the award for best jockey, before the audience’s choices awarded Saudi coach Sarah Al-Qahtani the Excellence Award as the first Saudi horse trainer, followed by awarding the title of best local jockey to Antonio Friso, and to give the highest award For the tireless giving of the Japanese Yoshida family.
