Aleksandr Loktaev was ready for Vetlanda last winter.

But the Ukrainian can not join his new club.

The 28-year-old is stuck in the country where he lives with his wife and children.

- We're on a tightrope.

We hear the plane alarms and hide in a shelter, says Loktaev.

"The food is starting to run out"

He was born in Russia, but has lived in Ukraine for almost ten years and became a citizen five years ago.

Then he also returned his Russian passport.

Loktaev is located in Chervonohrad, 30 kilometers away from the border with Poland.

- We are physically okay, but the situation can not be described.

Everyone is trying to help each other as best they can, we have brought in many families from Kyiv.

But resources and food are running out.

We try to persevere, says Loktaev.

"Worst thing imaginable"

Vetlanda's team leader Rikard Klang is saddened by the situation.

- It is among the worst you can imagine.

We keep in touch with him via his manager and try to stay updated, he says to SVT Sport.
