Spanish Cup .. Real Betis joins Valencia in the final

Real Betis joined Valencia in the final of the King's Cup in football by drawing 1-1 with its guest, Rayo Vallecano, on Thursday in the semi-final second leg.


Rayo Vallecano was the first to score through Pepe in the 80th minute, and Real Betis equalized in the second minute of stoppage time through Borja Iglesias.


Real Betis, seeking the third title in its history, won 2-1 in the first leg.


It is the fifth time that Real Betis has reached the final of the cup competition after 1931 when they lost to Athletic Bilbao 1-3, and 1977 when they won the title with revenge against Bilbao on penalties, 1997 when they lost to Barcelona 2-3 after the extension and 2005 when they beat Osasuna 2 -1 ot.


Real Betis will play the final at La Cartuja in Seville on April 23.


Valencia had booked his ticket to the final match, by defeating his guest Athletic Bilbao 1-0, back after they had tied 1-1 in the first leg in Bilbao.


Valencia will play the final for the 18th time in its history, winning the title eight times in 1941, 1949, 1954, 1967, 1979, 1999, 2008 and 2019, and losing nine times in 1934, 1944, 1945, 1946, 1952, 1970, 1971, 1972 and 1995.
