Referring the Egyptian Ahmed Al-Sheikh to investigation and freezing all his dues

The Egyptian club’s board of directors, headed by Samir Halabiya, decided to refer Ahmed Al-Sheikh, the club’s first-team football player, for investigation, with the player’s dues suspended until the club’s legal advisor issued a decision.

Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi said in an official statement on Thursday that this decision came based on the memorandum submitted by the team’s technical staff led by Moeen Al-Shaabani, football director Karim Zekry and Dr. Magdy Al-Alfi, the team’s doctor.

Atef Mabrouk, vice-president of Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi Club and general supervisor of the team, added that "the decision is due to the player's irregularity in the team's training and his continuous absence without a prior excuse, as well as his failure to comply with the instructions of the team's technical and medical staff."

He explained that the board of directors also decided to suspend the dues of the first team football players in the club until the team's results improved in the General League and the African Confederation Cup.

He pointed out that this decision came after the team's third consecutive draw in the league championship against Enppi in today's match, after the team had previously drawn in its previous two league matches against Ceramica Cleopatra and the Eastern Company, in addition to a defeat against Otoho, representative of Congo-Brazzaville in the African Confederation Cup.
