Queiroz sets off a violent shock.. "They are responsible for the suicide of my assistants!"

The current coach of the Egyptian national team, Carlos Queiroz, responded violently to Colombian Football Association officials, after the statements of Gonzalez Al-Zati, Vice President of the Colombian Federation, regarding his departure from the technical leadership of the Colombia national team in 2020, after the historic defeat against Ecuador 1-6 in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.

Queiroz told the Colombian newspaper, "Marca", "I did not run away from my mission with the Colombian team, and what Al-Zati said about the players' request for me to leave the national team leadership is incorrect. Rather, he accelerated my dismissal from the leadership of the team."

Queiroz turned the criticism leveled against him by the vice-president of the Colombian federation into a sweeping attack on those responsible for the Colombian football, and said: "They bear the responsibility for the death of Des Macallinan (his assistant coaching Colombia in the period from 2019-2020), depression and the decision to dismiss him pushed him to commit suicide and end his life!" .

McAleenan was found dead in his flat in Ireland in February 2021, leaving great sadness in Queiroz's heart.

It is noteworthy that Des McAleenan, an Irish national, was born in Dublin and grew up in Artan, a suburb of the city, and played football for four years at Connecticut State University, and served as the goalkeeper coach for the Colombia national team in Queiroz state.
