Charlotte Kalla and Therese Johaug have been followed throughout their careers.

The Swede is one year older than the Norwegian.

- She is a fantastic sportswoman.

We made our World Cup debut in just a few weeks.

It is an impressive career that she has behind her, says Kalla and continues:

- I am so impressed with everything she has accomplished.

She has been constantly evolving.

It's cool what level she's kept over time.

How has it been to compete against her?

- It has been a privilege to compete at the same time as one of the world's most deserving skiers, historically speaking.

She has been a great source of inspiration to try to see what you can do better.

A great source of motivation.

She went through a tough period with doping suspension.

How do you think that will affect her legacy?

- I have not thought about that.

It is impressive the journey she has made.

To get through the tough period and come back at least as strong.

This weekend, the World Cup skiers compete in Holmenkollen and then Johaug will learn to make his last World Cup races in Falun next weekend.

The announcement surprised competitor Ebba Andersson.

- I was surprised that it came already now.

I thought she would continue for a while longer, given the level she is at now, says Andersson.

24-year-old Andersson talks about his view of Johaug:

- I have been able to follow her journey.

First from the TV couch as a little girl to now today standing on the starting line with her and riding everything I deserve to hang out with her.
