Han Chaozong was finally appointed to Jingzhaoyin, the highest governor of Chang'an area, and Han Hong's father Han Zhi also became Jingzhao Shaoyin, the highest deputy chief of Chang'an area.

However, he wanted to compete in the field of science and become the first place with his talent, so he stayed in Chang'an during the Tianbao period of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty to prepare for the imperial examination.

Han Hong's residence is close to the house that General Li bought for his concubine Liu, and the two often drink and compose poems and songs at Liu's residence.
Liu's "beautiful moment" gradually developed a love for Han Hong.
General Li "knows the meaning", so he completes the Liu family, and subsidizes Han Hong with 300,000 yuan for his living.
In the second year, the thirteenth year of Tianbao (754), Han Hong passed the jinshi examination.
In the Tang Dynasty, scholars and post-secondaries could not obtain official positions immediately, and they had to be assessed by the Ministry of Personnel, in order to keep the election.
During the election period, Han Hong continued to live with the Liu family in Chang'an.
A year later, in the 14th year of Tianbao (755), the An-Shi Rebellion broke out. Han Hong wanted to serve in the army of Geshuhan who was stationed at Tongguan to resist the rebels. Only serve the country."
However, Han Hong was not used by Geshu Han and could only continue to hold the election in Chang'an.
Liu's family advised Han Hong to return to his hometown to visit his parents in time, to announce the good news of the high school Jinshi, and there is also a faint hope that Han Hong will inform his parents about the marriage between the two.
At that time, the situation of suppressing the rebellion in the imperial court was still good, and the traffic between Chang'an and other places was smooth, so Han Hong was relieved to return to his hometown to visit relatives.
Unexpectedly, not long after Han Hong left, Tongguan fell and Chang'an fell.
Liu Shi lived without property and sold jewelry to make a living. Later, afraid of being humiliated because of his appearance, he "cut his hair and ruined his shape" and went to the Faling Temple to become a monk.
Hou Xiyi, the Jiedushi envoy of Pinglu Ziqing (today's Qingzhou City, Shandong Province), who had heard of Han Hong's talent, invited him to the shogunate as secretary in charge of clerical affairs.
After Chang'an was recovered, Han Hong asked people to visit the whereabouts of Liu's family in Chang'an, and brought a bag full of gold, on which he wrote "Zhangtailiu·Ji Liushi": "Zhangtailiu, Zhangtailiu , Is Qingqing in the past still here? Even if the long strip seems to be hanging down, it should climb and break other people's hands."
Zhangtai is the location of the Chang'an brothel in the Western Han Dynasty, named after the location below the Zhangtai of the Qin Palace.
The chaos had been going on for too long, and Han Hong didn't know if the Liu family was still alive, let alone how she survived the war. She even imagined that the Liu family might be forced to commit herself to a brothel because of life or gangsters.
But in any case, Han Hong doesn't care about all this, the only thing he cares about is Liu's safety.
When Liu Shi got a poem, he "wailed with gold in hand", and replied to the poem "Zhangtai Liu · Willow Branch": "The willow branch, Fang Fei Festival, the hated gift and farewell every year. A leaf with the wind suddenly announces the autumn, even if the king comes. Disappointing!"
Han Hong was overjoyed to receive the letter and wanted to meet Liu Shi.
But the two were in Ziqing, Qingzhou, and Xijing, Chang'an. They were separated by thousands of miles from east to west. They were blocked by the rebels.
After the Tang Dynasty borrowed troops to return to Hehe to recapture Chang'an, the general Sha Zali had military merits and "stealed the color of Liu's family", so he "robbed her to return to the first place, and loved her in a special room".
In Han Hong's poem, "Even if the long bar seems to be hanging down, it should climb and break other people's hands", which is actually a prophecy.
In the first year of Emperor Yongtai's reign (765), Hou Xiyi was expelled by a mutiny launched by Li Zhengji, a military envoy.
Only then did Han Hong follow Hou Xiyi and return to Chang'an, where he had been away for ten years, but he didn't know Liu's whereabouts.
One day, Han Hong came across a curtained incense cart at Longshougang in Chang'an. He missed Liu's family and followed him unconsciously.
I just heard the person in the car ask, "It must be someone other than a member of the Han family, someone is the Liu family."
After ten years of separation, the two finally meet.

After learning the truth, he drew his sword to help, and asked Han Hong to write down a pen and ink on letter paper, ride a fast horse, bend a bow and carry a sword, and break into the Shazali mansion, and let the Liu family confirm that it is Han Hong.
