Ultra-trail enthusiasts will not be entitled to a remake of the phenomenal 2017 edition of the UTMB, next August in Chamonix.

If Kilian Jornet surprised everyone last week by announcing his presence at the major world meeting of the discipline (171 km, 10,000 m of elevation gain), François D'Haene has just unveiled this Tuesday a 2022 program without Ultra -Trail du Mont Blanc.

But the two historic monsters of the ultra will face off well on July 15 on the Hardrock 100 in Colorado (160 km, 10,000 m of D +), where the 36-year-old Savoyard won for the first time the last year, record time for the event (9:45 p.m.).

François D'Haene's second big goal of the season will be the Diagonale des Fous on October 21 on Reunion Island.

Another mythical race (165 km and 9,576 m of D +) that the former Beaujolais winegrower has already won in 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2018. Record holder of the event with his four crowns, just like on the UTMB, François D'Haene will therefore try to make history there even more.
