It was at Friday's training before this weekend's World Cup in Lahti, Finland, that Moa Lundgren fell and got a hip flexor and knee pain.

Due to the pain, the 23-year-old was forced to give up the competitions and instead flew home to Sweden.

Lundgren was examined on Sunday and also did an ultrasound on Monday.

- I got a slap on the knee but it was not a twist as luck would have it.

I've been blue and swollen.

Then I went on a stretch where the thigh passes to the stomach, in that bracket and it is the one that makes me unable to train and compete, says Moa Lundgren to SVT Sport.

She believes that the stretch will keep her away from training almost all week, which means that she will miss the World Cup sprint in Norwegian Drammen.

- It is about having ice in the stomach and letting the body heal before it is forced to work again, Lundgren says.

However, she hopes to be back for the World Cup in Falun on March 11-13.

- I was probably not prepared for the fact that the case would cost me two competition weekends.

But I hope that the injury settles down by the weekend so that I can start skiing at the beginning of next week and that everything flows.

So that I have time to make maximum efforts before Falun.
