On February 28, the main media center of the Beijing Winter Paralympic Games officially started operation after completing the transition from the Winter Olympics to the Winter Paralympics.

  The main media center is located in the second phase of the China National Convention Center. It integrates the main news center and the international broadcasting center to provide registered media with complete services and facilities to facilitate their efficient reporting.

  After the closing of the Beijing Winter Olympics, the main media center will enter the transition phase of the Winter Paralympics from February 24 to 27, including assisting a number of media to complete the removal work, and carry out the layout of barrier-free facilities and the construction of barrier-free environment.

At present, a series of Paralympic conversion work has been completed, including landscape, sign guidance, Paralympic barrier-free facilities, shuttle bus information and platforms, athlete circulation, and press conference hall facilities.

  From February 28 to March 13, the main media center of the Beijing Winter Paralympics was fully operational.

During the Beijing Winter Paralympics, the four press conference halls in the main media center will provide official press conference venues for the International Paralympic Committee and others, and all have designed barrier-free ramps.

  Xu Jicheng, director of the media operation department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, previously stated that the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee planned to build the Zhangjiakou Mountain Broadcasting Center as the headquarters of the media operation in the Zhangjiakou competition area.

The Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee will also provide professional media operation services in competition venues, award plazas, Winter Paralympic Villages and the National Stadium.

  The Beijing Winter Paralympics will be held from March 4th to March 13th. There will be 6 Paralympic alpine skiing, Paralympic biathlon, Paralympic cross-country skiing, Paralympic snowboarding, Paralympic ice hockey, and wheelchair curling. Major events will yield 78 gold medals.
