Zamalek requests the attendance of 60,000 fans for the Wydad match in the African Champions League

Mortada Mansour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian club Zamalek, announced that he spoke with the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, about the fans’ attendance of the match scheduled against Moroccan Wydad on March 11 at Cairo Stadium in the fourth round of the group stage matches in the African Champions League.

Mortada Mansour said in statements published on the official website of the Zamalek club today, Monday, that he requested the attendance of 60,000 fans during the match, so that the team would obtain the full support necessary for the players to win and continue the journey in the Champions League.

He added that he is well aware of the reactions of the street, and that the fans want to support the team during the coming period to achieve a victory over the Moroccan champion.

He explained that he and the board of directors will work as quickly as possible to complete a number of files that have already occurred, the most prominent of which is correcting the course of the first football team.

Mortada Mansour stressed that he is closely following all the files related to the issues considered by the club before the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA).

Zamalek had lost the first leg against Wydad 3-1 in Morocco yesterday, Saturday, in the third round of the group stage matches.
