Carton's relationship with Zamalek ends by mutual consent

The Egyptian Premier League title holder, Zamalek, announced today, Monday, the departure of its French coach, Patrice Carteron, after his second term, following the termination of the contract between the two parties by mutual consent.

Zamalek said in a video clip on its website showing club president Mortada Mansour and Carteron next to him that he separated from the 51-year-old French coach by mutual consent, with two months’ salary given to him.

Carteron returned to lead Zamalek for a second term in March 2021, after he abruptly departed in September 2020 to take over the training of Saudi Cooperation.

Carteron, who extended his contract with Zamalek last September for three years, led the team to the African and local Super Cup titles in 2020, in addition to the African Champions League semi-finals.
