The battle for victory in Lahti was a duel between Therese Johaug and the Russian Natalija Nepryajeva.

It was even, but in the end the Norwegian was stronger.

She won by just one second down to the Russian.

Jonna Sundling finished fourth in the three-mile race at the Olympics.

Then in mass start.

Today she showed that she also handles interval start when she turned five.

She was in the lead at all times during the race.

- It felt very good today too.

I'm glad that the body responded well even today, says Sundling who won the sprint yesterday.

Sundling does not yet know if there will be more distance races this spring.

- I have not nailed anything.

We'll see.

It is not impossible if it feels good, she says.

Just behind Sundling in the results list came Ebba Andersson.

Moa Olsson was ninth and Emma Ribom tenth.

Frida Karlsson started strong, but is still struggling with form.

She eventually finished 16th, one and a half minutes from the winner, after losing at every intermediate time.

Behind the close duo came two Finnish shoes in the form of Krista Pärmäkoski and Kerttu Niskanen.
