Earlier today, the IBU, the International Biathlon Federation, announced that it will allow individual athletes from Russia to continue competing for the rest of the season.
But they are forced to compete under a neutral flag.
The decision does not land well with the Russian biathlon federation.
NRK states that they are now withdrawing from the rest of the season.
- We believe that the decision is over the limit, unreasonable and categorically unacceptable, they say in a statement according to NRK.
- We are furious about these illegal acts from the IBU and will in court defend the rights of our athletes, they continue.
