Earlier today, the Norwegian Ski Association announced that it does not want to welcome Russian skiers to its remaining World Cup competitions.

It remains to be seen if you manage to get through the union.

So far, the Russian cross-country national team is planning to travel to Norway, which is arranging competitions in Drammen and Holmenkollen next week.

- The plan is to go there, says the Russian coach Markus Cramer to NRK.

"Is very upset"

He is disappointed with the message.

- I am surprised that the Norwegian association thinks so.

What do sports and athletes have to do with this situation (Russia's invasion of Ukraine)?

It's really tough.

His colleague Jegor Sorin reasons in a similar way.

- I'm very upset.

I can understand that no one wants to travel to Russia, but I do not understand why it should affect us.

We are Russian athletes.

We are here, not in any war.

We are not soldiers.

Maybe they think we have weapons.

We want peace and for me it is very strange.
