The World Cup in Lahti continues on Sunday with distance races for ladies and men.

William Poromaa, like several of the Swedish Olympic skiers, landed in Sweden late Monday and has a hard time answering where he stands in terms of form before the race.

- In part, I do not know how the body reacts now that we have been at high altitude for so long and run many competitions.

But I hope that the form will continue to hold and respond well, says Poromaa to SVT Sport.

"Looking very bright at the future"

The Olympics were a successful championship for Poromaa, who left China with the following placements: 6, 10, 4, 4 and 9.

- I am very happy of course.

I do races like I have never done before and go faster than I have done before.

With the background I had into the season, I could never dream again and I see a very bright future, says William Poromaa to SVT Sport and continues:

- I feel that I take step by step all the time and that I perform at my best when it comes to the most.

Poromaa: The podiums close now

The 21-year-old does not think that the podium places are far away.

- I'm very close now.

But I do not feel that there is any danger, I just think it is the time required.

I will continue to do the job and follow the plan I have laid out and I think I will be there soon.

How do you see your chances in Sunday's race in Lahti?

- I think they are good.

It is a course that suits me very well and classic 15 should work very well as well.

So I have high hopes and really hope that it will go well.
