The Norwegian Ski Association does not want to welcome Russian skiers to its remaining World Cup competitions.

The International Ski Federation has not yet made a decision and the same applies to the Swedish.

There is a planned World Cup competition in Falun on March 11-12.

- I basically think that sport should not be a place where political opinions are used.

But I have full respect and understanding for what the Norwegian Ski Association has done, says Lars Öberg and continues:

We were out early that we wanted to move the World Cup competitions from the Russian Tiumen to another place.

There we took a stand early.

We get to discuss and follow developments.

We have not had time to reflect more deeply on that.

Calle Halfvarsson is leaning towards not wanting to be pitted against Russian skiers.

- Somewhere you have to put your foot down and say that it's not okay, what they're doing.

You have to put your foot down somewhere.

If you punish everything and hit them hard, then maybe it calms down.

You do everything to calm it down.

- I do not make those decisions, but I think you should show everywhere that it is not okay.

It is clear that the skiers who are here have nothing to do with the war, but they ride for the Russian flag.

Everyone follows the news here and it seems to have barked out.
