The Ukrainian biathletes announced today that they will not participate in the upcoming competitions.

They stay in their home country.

Among other things, the Swedish Minister of Sports Anders Ygeman calls for an EU decision to exclude Russian athletes completely from major sporting events.

The IBU chooses to let the individual athletes compete, but shuts off the nations of Russia and Belarus.

The athletes will compete under a neutral flag and receive World Cup points, but the countries will not receive national points.

The countries' flags will not appear at competitions, but Ukraine's will be hoisted to honor the invaded country.

The decision applies to the season's remaining competitions in the World Cup, IBU Cup and ongoing junior WC.
