It was an even race with small margins when the junior ladies competed in the five kilometer classic in Norwegian Lygna on Friday.

Märta Rosenberg from Duved opened hard and led after 1.2 kilometers, but then crooked a bit and finished sixth.

The best Swedish was instead Lisa Eriksson, Strömnäs Gif for everyday, who rode evenly throughout the race.

Eriksson took silver in the 15-kilometer race, but missed the podium today.

- It would have been fun with a top three position, but I'm actually quite happy anyway, I do not feel very confident in this distance, she says to SVT Sport.

Russian double at the top

Eriksson, who had a heavy autumn of overload, was still in good spirits after the race.

- That I managed to take second place is quite valuable to me after my autumn, she says.

Eriksson is also a three-year-old with Ebba Andersson.

Speaking of kinship, the Russian Darija Nepreajeva won the race, just three seconds ahead of compatriot Elizaveta Brekisjeva and third came the Norwegian Emma Krinkeberg Moerk.

Darija is the younger sister of Natalya Nepreajeva who took individual silver in the sprint at the Olympics and double gold in the relays, in the sprint and distance.
