Table tennis star Truls Möregårdh, who won sensational World Cup silver in December, will play one of Europe's most prestigious tournaments at short notice.

The 19-year-old replaces compatriot Mattias Falck in Europe's top 16 who will be decided this weekend, Falck - who won World Cup gold together with Kristian Karlsson at the same world championships - can not participate because a family member tested positive for covid-19.

- At one o'clock yesterday, Jörgen (Persson, national team captain) called me and told me.

And then an hour later I was sitting in the car, I was at a training camp in Ochsenhausen and have almost no clothes or almost anything with me, says Truls Möregårdh to SVT Sport while he eats breakfast with Kristian Karlsson who will also participate.

How ready do you feel?

- It feels great, it will be super fun.

It's a big competition and there will be a lot of spectators, so it's going to be fun.
