The Swedish ladies have started the junior WC strongly. Lisa Eriksson took home the silver in the ladies' 15 km freestyle on Tuesday and Sweden finished fourth in the relay. But on Friday, a new medal chance awaits when the ladies drive 5 km classic.
In the initial mass start over 15 km in freestyle, Lisa Eriksson was close to the gold but was eventually beaten by the German Helen Hoffmann and it was silver.
Märta Rosenberg also made a good effort and finished fourth.
