19-year-old Sara Andersson from Mora has stood out among the Swedish juniors.

Despite her young age, she has placed high in the IBU Cup (just below the World Cup) this season.

When JVM started in the USA, the conditions were tough.

- Was very snowy during the whole race, tough conditions, her plan was to go out controlled which she did, but went very well from the beginning, says media manager Emma Höglund who is on site in Salt Lake City to SVT Sport.

By far the fastest in the track - follows in the sisters Öberg's footsteps

Andersson shot three booms (0-1-1-1), but went fast.

She had the best riding time on the first lap and just kept at it.

She had the best ride time with a full 38 seconds.

- We have celebrated by eating a little cake together, it's probably the simple thing with a red velvet cake, says Emma Höglund.

Now she is in an extremely exclusive group of Swedes who have won JVM gold in biathlon.

Sisters Hanna and Elvira have both done it, as has Mattias Nilsson who did it in 2002. Andersson is the fourth Swedish biathlete to succeed with the feat.

- This result bodes well for the others, they can trust that their job is also good, makes the group more relaxed, says Höglund.

Andersson was the only Swede to run the race.
