After 13 months of absence, the Norwegian player Omar Al-Abdlawi returned to playing with his Turkish team, Galatasaray, concluding a treatment journey during which he underwent 11 surgeries.

Al-Abd Al-Lawi was threatened with losing his sight after being hit by fireworks during his celebration of the beginning of 2021, but he went through a difficult journey in which he traveled to more than one country, adhering to the dream of returning to the football stadiums.

The French website RMC told the story of the Norwegian player, who is of Moroccan descent, and explained that the 30-year-old had burns on his face and was close to losing his right eye sight.

And the player said - in previous statements - "At first I thought that something had entered my eyes and I had to clean it, but I felt that my face was completely burning and everything was black in front of me."

The player, who played 49 matches with the Norway national team, passed a difficult stage;

He was afraid to close his eyes for fear of losing his sight completely, and he insisted on completing the treatment journey with the support of his Turkish team, which provided him with the necessary medical escort.

In order to receive treatment, the Norwegian defender traveled to China, Canada, Britain and the United States, and underwent a corneal transplant in February 2021.

The treatment journey ended after Al-Abdlawi underwent 11 surgeries, to return to his team’s training weeks ago, in preparation for returning to participating in the matches.

The player appeared wearing a pair of special glasses to protect his eyes.

The player enjoyed wide support from his teammates, and his best gift was to win last Monday's match against Goztepe 3-2.
