Swiss Besiger is the champion of the third stage of the UAE Tour in Ajman

Swiss Stefan Bisiger snatched the lead of the UAE Tour 2022, the only global race in the Middle East, within the agenda of the International Cycling Union, which is being held in its fourth edition, organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, by winning the title of the third stage of the tour that was held today, Tuesday in the Emirate of Ajman.

Besiger, the American EF Education team rider, was crowned the champion of the third stage (stage G42) in Ajman, after he finished first in the speed race against the clock, for a distance of 9 km, and recorded a time of 9:43 minutes, to beat the Italian world champion Filippo Jana, the Ineos rider, beat Les Besiger in the time trial last year and finished second, 7 seconds behind Beseiger.

The third stage competitions were attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, representative of His Highness the Ruler of Ajman for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Chairman of the Department of Economic Development in Ajman, and Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Tourism Development in Ajman, who gave the insignia of the launch of the stage.

The results of the third stage matched the expectations and nominations that put the duo Besiger and Jana at the forefront of the candidates to win the stage, while the Dutchman Tom Dumoulin, the Trek-Segafredo team, came in third place, 14 seconds behind Besiger.
