19-year-old Lisa Eriksson from Strömnäs rode the best of the Swedes on JVM's first day in Norwegian Lygna.

In the mass start race over 15 kilometers in the freestyle, she did not have the strength at the end, but salvaged the silver.

- Yes, I felt very alert, but I'm still a little disappointed with the gold, felt that I had the strength for it, was a bit tactless but I'm super happy, it feels like a victory in itself after a very difficult autumn, she says to SVT Sports.

What happened in the fall?

- I have been a bit overloaded and it has not been possible to do what I planned, says the 19-year-old.

Last year, Eriksson won a silver medal at the same distance at the JVM in Finland.

So now she has two silvers on two individual distance starts in the JVM context.

German Helen Hoffman won, just 2.6 seconds ahead of Eriksson and Norwegian Tuva Annie Brusveen-Jensen took the bronze, 8.2 seconds behind the winner.
