On Monday, the news came that Isabelle Gulldén is breaking her two-year contract with Vipers Kristiansand already after one year.

- I make the tough decision to break my contract after this season.

It is for personal reasons that I have chosen to make the decision and it has been a difficult decision to make.

Sometimes life takes a different direction than we want and I simply need to live closer to my family, says Isabelle Gulldén in a press release.

Next season, she is back in Sweden, but not in the parent club Sävehof, which she left just over ten years ago, but in the series competitor Lugi.

Aftonbladet was the first with the information which is now confirmed by Lugi's sports director Kenneth Andersson.

- She will be a great attraction for the entire league and Swedish handball in general, Andersson says.

Aiming for a Swedish Championship gold

The contract extends over three years.

- We have a young team and the routine and experience she can contribute will be invaluable, Andersson says.

Gulldén herself hopes that she will be able to contribute to a Swedish Championship gold during the next three seasons.

- After eleven years abroad, it is finally time to move home to Sweden.

Lugi has a very young team and I hope to be able to contribute with my experience and during these three years I hope that we will be able to take a Swedish Championship gold, says Gulldén in a press release.

Will work at the office

Andersson is satisfied, but does not want to take anything out in advance.

- There is no team that gets worse with a world star in the team, but there are many others who have recruited well as well, we will see, we are not finished with our team building either.

In addition to a place on the handball team, Gulldén will also work at the office.

- She will be employed at 40 percent on a development service so I guess it is the whole that attracted, says Andersson.
