The former national captain in biathlon, Wolfgang Pichler, now works as a talent developer for SOK (Swedish Olympic Committee) and he has also served as a mentor to the Swedish skating phantom Nils van der Poel.

We all know how it went for van der Poel by now and now Pichler hopes that more Swedish athletes will follow in the footsteps of the double Olympic gold medalist - even though he is aware that not everyone has what it takes to make a similar bet that the van der Poel made.

- I hope that many young Swedes can learn from him because this is a really good example.

If you have a dream, you can follow it, but to be the best in the world, the right attitude is required.

There are many young people who want to be the best in the world, but they are not prepared to put in as much work as those who are the best in the world, says Pichler.

- They should follow his example, they can call me and ask how it goes to be so good but it is no secret, he trained 6-8 hours every day, says Pichler.
