Mohammed Al Sharqi witnesses the conclusion of the Premier League in Fujairah and crowns the winners

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed the interest that the emirate attaches to martial arts sports, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, to support all types of sports, especially self-defense. This will enhance the emirate’s presence in the global sports field.

This came during the presence of His Highness, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, the conclusion of the World Karate League “Premier League” championship at the Zayed Sports Complex, in the presence of Sheikh Saif bin Hamad bin Saif Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Free Zone Authority, Antonio Spinos, President of the International Karate Federation, and Major General Nasser Al Razouki, President of the two federations Emirati and Asian Karate, and a number of heads of the game federations in the world.

His Highness praised the administrative and organizational level of the tournament, which is being held for the first time in Fujairah, and the efforts of the organizing committee in making the event a success and achieving honorable results that contribute to supporting the emirate's position in the global organization of sports tournaments, and shedding light on martial arts.

The closing ceremony of the tournament, which was organized by the UAE and International Karate Federations, and the Fujairah Martial Arts Club, with the participation of 342 male and female players, and the participation of 55 countries around the world, included a kata show presented by Japanese players participating in the tournament, as well as a short film about the Emirate of Fujairah.

In his speech, the head of the organizing committee of the championship, Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi, said that the Emirate of Fujairah has become a magnet for global competitive championships in self-defense sports, thanks to its honorable international reputation in hosting major sporting events on its soil, and a distinguished city that attracts competitors in martial arts games from different countries of the world.

His Highness, the Crown Prince of Fujairah, crowned the winners of the first places in the competitive rounds of the tournament, and His Highness also honored the sponsors and supporting partners who contributed to the success of the tournament.

The conclusion of the tournament was attended by the Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, Salem Al-Zahmi, and the President of the Emirates Taekwondo Federation, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the tournament, Brigadier Ahmed Hamdan Al-Zeyoudi.
