Al Sadd FC won the Qatar Stars Football League after its 8-2 victory over Al-Ahly on Monday.

Al Sadd raised its score to 52 points, 13 points ahead of Al Duhail, a difference that cannot be compensated four rounds before the end of the league.

Al Sadd consolidated its record by winning the league title for the 16th time in its history.

Al-Sadd won the match early after finishing the first half with a 5-0 lead, with goals from Akram Afif, Hassan Al-Haydous from a penalty kick, Boualem Khoukhi, Santi Cazorla, and Baghdad Bounedjah.

Al-Ahly rose in the second half and scored two goals in a row, but Andre Ayew and Youssef Abdel Razzaq scored two more goals for Al Sadd.

Ayew concluded the eight goals with a superb shot from inside the penalty area into the far corner in added time.
