It looked to be a pretty mediocre competition, just like the others this winter.

She stood at 6.39 before her last jump after having major problems with her approach.

Then she got on a good plank hit and sailed away 6.96.

The previous world year best was Ivana Vuleta (formerly Spanovic) at 6.85.

- Before the last jump, I knew that 6.39 would not be my last word.

Unfortunately, the timing of several of the jumps was not the best and I lost 30-40 centimeters but it motivated me to jump better.

It was fantastic to compete in front of spectators who cheered on us, says Mihambo to the International Athletics Federation, World Athletics.

Happily for Khaddi Sagnia, currently seventh on the world best list with 6.70, Mihamo will end the indoor season next weekend with the national championships, where she will participate in the 60-meter long jump.

The German will thus not be at the indoor World Cup in Belgrade March 18-20.

In Armand Duplanti's absence, home jumper Bo Kanda Lita Bähre won the pole vault at 5.81.
