Wydad's loss.. Al-Merreikh tied with Sundowns in the African champions

Morocco's Wydad failed to follow up on its victories and suffered a 1-2 loss against its host Petro Atlético de Angola today, at the "November 11" stadium in Luanda in the second round of Group D competitions in the group stage (price final) of the African Champions League competition.

"Wydad Al-Ummah" was Yemeni, with a victory from the Angolan team's land, to be the second in a row, after its victory over Sagrada in the first round with three clean goals, but the host team continued to surprise thanks to its strong squad supported by a group of Brazilian players, most notably Gleason and Jaridi and top scorer Thiago Azulao.

Petro Atletico raised his score to four points and took the lead temporarily after he tied with Zamalek in the opening of his career 2-2 in Cairo, while Wydad's balance froze at three points and fell to second place.

In the first group, a goalless draw dominated the confrontation of Al-Marikh and its guest, Mamelodi Sundowns, South Africa, at Al-Ahly Club Stadium in Cairo, which the Sudanese team relies on as its land.

Al-Ahly, the defending champion, achieved the same result yesterday against its Sudanese host, Al-Hilal.

Sundowns topped the standings with four points, one point ahead of Al-Ahly, Al-Hilal and Al-Marikh, knowing that the latter and the Egyptian team have a postponed match from the first round.
