Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, crowned Latvian tennis star and 21st ranked Elena Ostapenko, her and her country's first title in the history of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, by defeating the 31st ranked Russian Veronica. Kudermitova, by two sets without a response (6-0, 6-4), in the final match that brought them together this evening, at the "Dubai Duty Free" stadium in the Garhoud area of ​​Dubai, and lasted for about an hour and five minutes.

The coronation was attended by Sheikh Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, President of the Tennis Federation, Executive Vice Chairman of the Dubai Duty Free, Colm McLoughlin, Chief Operating Officer of the Dubai Duty Free, Ramesh Kidami, and Director of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships, Salah Tahlak and a number of officials. 

With this victory, Ostapenko became the 15th star in history to win the Dubai Women's Tennis title.

Ostapenko won the first place prize of 104,180 dollars, in addition to 470 points to be added to the total points of her world ranking, while Russian Kodermitova won the second place financial prize of 64,800 dollars, and 305 points, knowing that it was the first confrontation that brought the two champions together during Their career in the world of yellow ball.
