NHK's International Skating Union proposes to the General Assembly in June to raise the age limit for figure skating in senior competitions such as the Olympics from the current 15 to 17 years old. I made it clear to the interview.

Regarding figure skating, it was revealed during the Games that ROC = Russian Olympic Committee 15-year-old Camilla Wariewa gave a positive reaction for prohibited substances in the doping test last December at the Beijing Olympics. However, the CAS = Court of Arbitration for Sport has approved that Wariewa will continue to participate in consideration of the fact that he is a "guardian" under the age of 16.

According to ISU regulations, senior athletes such as the Olympics can participate in figure skating at the age of 15 and over, and IOC = International Olympic Committee Chairman Bach, who met on the 18th, said that the age limit for participating in the Olympic Games is limited. He showed his intention to proceed with the discussion.

Regarding this, the ISU told NHK on the 19th, "At the general meeting held in June, we decided to include a proposal to raise the age limit to 17 years old in all figure skating events."
