According to the head of Ice Cube Catering, the gold medal cake was inspired by the Oscars.

Every year, there is a popular dessert at the dinner of the ceremony - the chocolate statuette. No matter whether they win the trophy or not, the guests and stars at the scene can take this sweet souvenir away.

Inspired by this, the chef of the Ice Cube catering team specially made a "gold medal cake" at the end of the Winter Olympics to wish everyone a champion.
