Emirates Horse Racing announces the formation of the "Oscar" jury

The Emirates Horse Racing Authority has announced the formation of jury committees for the "Oscar Racing Awards", which aims to honor distinguished achievements in all fields related to horse racing in the country.

The authority also announced the introduction of new categories in the award specialized for Arabian horses, most notably the “Best Arabian Horse Breeder” category, the “Best Arabian Stallion” category, in addition to the “Finish Line” award, which is dedicated to horses that achieved the best, exciting and distinctive competitive finish at the finish line. The winners will be honored during a ceremony that will be organized by the authority on a Ramadan evening at the beginning of the blessed month.

Engineer Mohammed Saeed Al Shehhi, member of the Board of Directors and Director General of the Emirates Racing Authority, stressed the authority's keenness to include all categories and horse people, whether in Arab or hybrid horses, and from this standpoint two categories were created for Arab horses and their racing, referring to the creation of the "Finish Line Category" Also to honor the horse that excelled in the season by winning in an exciting and distinctive way at the finish line.

Regarding the formation of the judging committees for the different categories of awards, Eng. Al-Shehhi said that a number of names with experience and long history in the field of horse racing have been approved from various fields, and mechanisms and criteria for selecting the winners have been established, which will depend on transparency and justice.

He noted that part of the selection mechanisms will be by the vote of specialists in the field of horses and equestrians, while there will be an independent jury that has its own laws, foundations, and method of evaluation, wishing success to all participants in the award, which aims to move the horse racing sector in the country and motivate everyone to excel and shine. .
