Among the Chinese women's football players who won this Asian Cup, Tang Jiali and other 4 international players are all from Shanghai Putuo Women's Football Team, which can be called a "rose garden" combining sports and education.

After returning from the Women's Asian Cup, the head coach Shui Qingxia expressed his gratitude to the football youth coaches for their long-term silent dedication: "Thank you for your hard work at the grassroots level, without the foundation you laid, These players would not be where they are today.”

On the other end of the video is Zhang Xiang, the principal of the Youth Football School in Putuo District, Shanghai.

In the 23-man roster of the Chinese women's football team for this year's Asian Cup, Tang Jiali, Zhao Lina, Yang Lina, and Zhang Xin are all from the Putuo Women's Football Team and embarked on a career path under the leadership of the coaches of the Putuo Youth Football School.

Zhang Xiang's wife Qian Hui is a senior coach at the football school.

In the past 30 years, the couple have devoted themselves to the "rose garden" of the integration of physical education and education, cultivated a "one-stop" training road for Putuo women's football elementary school, junior high school and high school, and sent 53 athletes to the national team.

All their wishes for their children are written in the upper right corner of the dormitory number——

Be a good person, read a good book, and play a good football.

  "Stuck with kids"

Meiliu Community in Putuo District is next to Meilong Middle School.

Residents are very familiar with this scene: In the evening, girls in Putuo women's football uniforms and spiked shoes finished training at the school, passed through a side door, and returned to the dormitory near the east gate of the community one after another, sweating on their foreheads.

On the first floor of the dormitory, there are three tables filled with competition trophies and medals. This is the result of sweat.

There is another kind of achievement without medals, but it is full of quality: a total of 53 athletes have been sent to the national team, 49 to the first-line and clubs, and 176 to the second-line sports team.

Looking back, Qian Hui didn't expect that she had come so far.

In 1993, Putuo District began to explore the way to cultivate women's football talents, and based on Jinshajiang Road Primary School, a primary school-age women's football team was established.

It was in this year that Qian Hui, a former Henan women's football player, graduated from Shanghai Sports Academy and went to Jinshajiang Road Primary School to become a women's football coach.

For Qian Hui, this was a groping from scratch.

Women's football has received little attention. Bringing children to practice football is by no means "fat". The accommodation conditions are poor, and there is no formal training venue. All kinds of difficulties are huge and specific.

At that time, Zhang Xiang was teaching in the football teaching and research section of the Sports Institute. In order to help Qian Hui train young players, he often rode from the Sports Institute to Putuo for 40 minutes. "Several pairs of pants were worn out."

After two years of "voluntary labor", these children were about to enter junior high school. Zhang Xiang simply officially transferred his work to Putuo District.

"In those two years, I had already brought out feelings, and I was 'locked up' by the children." Thinking of these "obedient and hard-working" children who were promoted to junior high school, no one wanted to play football, and Zhang Xiang was reluctant.

He began to form a middle school women's football team in Putuo, and he had a firm idea in his heart: "I must train these children."

Zhang Xiang also emphasized that his choice was more influenced by Qian Hui. "She likes to teach children. If I hadn't seen her so persistently, I would definitely not have been able to do it."

This love has led Qian Hui to take on multiple jobs for several years. Under the "three-intensive" mode of study, training, and accommodation, she is a coach, a "class teacher", and more often a "nanny".

"In the beginning, the conditions were poor, and they had to take them to the public bathroom to take a shower." In the evening, Qian Hui watched the team members study by themselves, and checked the Chinese, math, and foreign language homework books, and when they handed them over to the school, they were all signed by her.

It was not until she stepped on the court that she changed back to that passionate and even a bit "fierce" coach.

"Don't be slow, follow her closely!" "So what are you passively doing? Go grab it!" "A good shot! I finally scored, very hard!" The playground was filled with her loud voice, and she ran to the team members in a hurry. Foot demonstration.

Bend over, wrap her shoulders, give her a hug... This is what she looked like after she walked off the stage again.

She called aside the girl who had been criticized in the training, lowered her voice, asked and encouraged, and finally reached out and pinned the sweat stuck to her face behind her ear.

In Qian Hui's eyes, she and her lover cooperated very well.

"I take care of it carefully. In addition to training, I also chat with children and take care of trivial matters in their life and study. Zhang Xiang is different. He is very far-sighted. From the beginning, he is determined to find a good middle school for the children to continue. practice ball."

This idea has evolved into the prototype of the "one-stop" model of Putuo women's football sports education integration: starting from kindergarten, selecting materials, and then advancing to designated primary and secondary schools.

In 1996, Caoyang No. 2 Middle School became the middle and high school counterparts for women's football children; in 2000, Meilong Middle School joined.

It can not only develop hobbies, exercise, but also receive high-quality education unimpeded. This echelon training model completely dispels parents' "concerns about further education" and fundamentally stimulates parents' subjective willingness to send their children to play football.

It is precisely because of this that the achievements of Putuo women's football are not limited to the green field: after 12 years of high-quality education, girls who have not entered the professional team can still move forward in their studies. Fudan University, East China Normal University, Donghua University, Shanghai University ... Up to now, the number of players who have been trained by Putuo women's football team and sent to the university has reached 68.

High tuition fees "dissuade" parents, she cried so anxiously

When it comes to grades, the husband and wife do not think there is any secret, some just have the belief that they will never give up.

"At that time, Zhang Xiang wanted to find a good middle school for his children. A senior from the original unit said, 'It's easier said than done'!" Qian Hui remembered clearly the long-sounding and infinitely emotional "It's easier said than done."

That share is really not easy, she has experienced it herself.

In 2000, the Cao Yang No. 2 Middle School of Putuo Women's Football Arrangement Middle School canceled the junior high school, and the "one-stop" appeared to be broken.

With the support of Putuo District Education Bureau, Meilong Middle School joined.

However, the tuition fee of this middle school, which was still private at the time, was as high as 3,000 yuan per semester. Many parents of the team members were discouraged, clamoring to transfer their children to public schools, and stopped playing football.

Qian Hui burst into tears and ran to the Education Bureau, where he persuaded the parents, and the other side explained the situation, "I don't know what to do, but I watched the children who had worked so hard for 5 years go away one by one, with tears streaming down my face. "

The twists and turns were finally resolved properly, and the district education bureau and sports bureau shared half of the tuition fees.

Qian Hui called the students who had been transferred one by one and told them to come back quickly.

"There are a lot of things they do that we didn't know when we were kids." Song Mei, who joined the team in 1993, recalls now that from Monday to Friday, the team members get up at 5:50 in the morning, go out to exercise, and leave school at 3:30 in the afternoon After training until 6 pm, then dinner, self-study, lights out and sleep.

Outside of these hours, Teacher Qian and Teacher Zhang still have an infinite amount of work to do, all for them.

Under the leadership of the husband and wife, the girls worked hard and strived hard. From domestic to international, they achieved outstanding results in large and small competitions, and they have won countless "small enemy big" countless times.

Zhang Xiang is always like an "old father", "advocating" his children to the outside world. "One-stop" is not enough, and he has to think about how to give his children more opportunities to go to college.

He accidentally learned that Shanghai University has a special recruitment quota, so he went to "sell" his team members.

"Our children play football well and read well, why not?" Zhang Xiang thought to himself.

Stepping into a moped, Zhang Xiang set off. There was a tank full of oil in the trunk. "Shanghai University has several campuses. The road is long. I'm afraid that the oil will not be enough."

"4!" This was the special sports quota that Shanghai University promised to Putuo Football School at that time, but Zhang Xiang had 5 players who graduated from high school that year.

"Then I'll use my grades to convince them." Zhang Xiang formed a team and let the girls who were only middle and high school age play a game on behalf of Shanghai University and the foreign college team. They won a big victory. He was specially recruited into Shanghai University for further study.

There was one other little thing that Qian Hui always remembered.

"He went to Shanghai University, and no one paid attention to him during class time, so he went to the library to read, and even gave me an excerpt, wrote it on a piece of paper and brought it back - a calm sea can't train a strong sailor, a comfortable environment You can't make a great man of the age."

This sentence, Qian Hui repeated to the girls.

"Mr. Qian pays great attention to our spiritual cultivation. She often said that football is a circle, anything can happen on the field, and never give up until the last moment; if you have confidence, you may not win, but if you don't have confidence, you will lose. This kind of subtle education has a great impact on us." Song Mei said.

In the team, even the learning of cultural classes is also a "leadership": every time a new player comes in, the coach will arrange a senior player to be the sister, and even the textbooks and notes of the previous session will be kept to help the new players learn.

Qian Hui's mobile phone saved the video that Tang Jiali sent to her sisters, "I am your sister Tang Jiali, I want to tell you that no matter what difficulties you encounter in the future, you must persevere until you grow up. Finally. Only by persevering can you get closer and closer to success... Be sure to believe in yourself, don't doubt, you will definitely become who you want to be. Come on!"

'We are the future, football's hope'

The couple raised a border shepherd named "Hope" after Zhang Xiang.

If I raise another one in the future, I'm going to call it "Dream Realization".

Women's football career is a dream that the two have never changed.

Leading the team for nearly 30 years, Qian Hui "has been in constant pain and constant excitement".

"I will be immersed in it. Sometimes the children will be sad for two days if they don't play. If a game is lost, I first encourage the players, but when I come back, I have to cry."

"She's a football idiot." Li Haijun, the principal of Jinshajiang Road Primary School, described Qian Hui like this. "She doesn't think about anything except the women's football team. She has been extremely focused for so many years."

Qian Hui hopes that the society will continue to pay attention to women's football.

"When I won the Asian Cup, my mobile phone was 'blown'. Parents were excited and praised from screen to screen, and the children were more motivated to train." Would you like to send your children to play football? We enroll students in kindergartens, and some children are talented and interested, but parents are hesitant, thinking that playing football is just windy, sun-drenched and scrambling.”

Suffering is a fact, but Qian Hui also repeatedly emphasized the role of football in educating people, "Our girls are more cheerful and sunny, have stronger independence and self-care ability, and have a spirit of teamwork and perseverance early on."

On top of popularization, it is the persistent pursuit of a professional coach. "There are still few people who really play football, and there are still few good players. We want to produce results and send more talents to professional teams."

Although many international players have been cultivated, the couple has always maintained a high sense of crisis.

"For a team, it's hard to get good results, but it's very easy to fall. We have been anxious, so many years of hard work can't be wasted, and we can't have any slack thoughts." In Zhang Xiang's view, the "one-stop" model provides a This kind of guarantee, I just hope that more children will join football training out of love.

Affected by Qian Hui, some players from the Putuo women's football team also joined the coaching team, including former national team player Xu Wenjia.

"If you want to talk about the sense of accomplishment, it is one day when I see my children also enter the national team, put on the Chinese red, and fight for the country." Xu Wenjia said.

To this day, the growth experience of the Putuo women's football team is still a "shining day" in Xu Wenjia's heart.

Sometimes, she would go back to Jinshajiang Road Elementary School, sit on the side of the playground, watch the children run, and her own youth flashed in her eyes.

"Looking at it this way, I feel like I've been washed inside and I feel peace and strength."

To this day, Song Mei still remembers the team song she once sang: "We are running on the green field, and the sunset brings golden dreams... The swirling football entrusts our ideals, we are the future, the hope of football!"
