The Olympics have not been what Stina Nilsson had hoped for.

The 28-year-old has not been allowed to run a single race during the Olympics, as the only skier out of six in the Swedish biathlon national team.

On Wednesday afternoon, information came that Nilsson was leaving the Olympics with a competition left, something that Expressen was the first to report on.

She has not qualified for the mass start, where Anna Magnusson is instead a reserve.

- She goes home at the same time as, for example, Maja Dahlqvist who is a medalist, it is because there are no competitions left for them, says SOK's media manager Lars Markusson to SVT Sport.

Although Nilsson has not competed and avoided interviews, there have been no sour faces, according to the media manager.

the last thing she did was to be here and celebrate the relay gold with the team, he says.

Has won test competitions during the Olympics

Markusson wants to emphasize that Nilsson has been a big part of the team, despite the fact that she was not allowed to start in any race.

- Wrote on insta and sent stuff, did not want when she did not compete.

but she has been a very active part of the team, won some of the test races they have ridden, she has been an important part of the team, he says.

How does it feel that a skier who wins test competitions is not allowed to start in the races?

- We did not know that from the beginning, as Johannes (Lukas) said earlier, the skiers who have been here would probably fit in all other teams.

According to Expressen's information, Nilsson must also have left Wednesday's medal ceremony on the way back to fly home to Sweden.
