Sandra Näslund was the big favorite before the skicross final.
She made no mistakes and led from start to finish, salvaging her first Olympic gold.
In Umeå, her partner Hanna Persson, who works as a teacher, followed the ride with her students in the classroom
- Sandra rides with such great self-confidence, it is nervous and once she puts everything it can not get better, it is incredibly big, difficult to put into words, she says to SVT Sport.
When Näslund crossed the finish line as Olympic champion, his partner could not hold back.
- There were a lot of tears, it was impossible to hold back.
"I think the whole school sat and watched"
Now Näslund has won everything, victory in the overall World Cup, World Cup and Olympic gold.
- It is such an incredible relief, Sandra has worked so hard for this, I am with her at the gym often know how she feels, to see her succeed… it is great, says the partner.
You were not alone in following Sandra?
- No, I think the whole school has sat and watched, it rushed in staff from all grades, she says and laughs.
Hanna Persson is not allowed to meet her Sandra for even in the beginning of March, but when they are seen it will be celebrated.
- We have to drink foam when she comes home and I said that if Sandra wins gold, I will offer the students a cake, so it's just a matter of coughing up now, says the partner.
