  On February 16, the Beijing Winter Olympics men's short track speed skating 5000m relay final was staged. A total of 5 teams participated in the final of Group A. The Chinese team sent Wu Dajing, Ren Ziwei, Sun Long and Li Wenlong to compete.

The Chinese team that started on the fifth track once chased to third, but on the 11th lap, Sun Long accidentally fell while sliding. After the Chinese team quickly completed the handover, although they chased after them with all their strength, they were already separated by a large distance.

  In the end, the Chinese team finished fifth with 6:51.654, Canada ranked first with 6:41.257, South Korea and Italy finished second and third.

  The Chinese team won a bronze medal in the event at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, and a silver medal in the event at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
