Näslund is in tears after standing at the top of the provisional award ceremony in the finish line - she will receive the gold medal later.
- It feels completely incredible, says a taken Näslund.
Maybe the tears on your cheek say the most?
- I think so, Näslund answers.
There were many emotions under the cool surface during today's competition.
- It's a little nervous but I feel a sense of security that I know I'm fast at the start.
I was just thinking about focusing on what I was going to do.
Then a meter before the finish line, I realize that it is actually the Olympic final and that I am on my way over the finish line first.
It's big, says Näslund.
"It's hard to comprehend"
- There is so much relief, pride, gratitude and so many emotions.
It was during training that it squeaked a lot on the way to the favorite gold.
- I have felt a little stressed for a few days at the training because I think it did not go quite the way I wanted.
Today I felt that everything worked as it should.
It got a little difficult with the snow when it started to snow.
I just tried to stay calm and focus on what I was going to do, Näslund explains.
She is in a pleasant intoxication.
- It's hard to understand but I'm very proud and grateful to everyone who helped me during this trip, it really is a team effort.
