Kylian Mbappe said that he was happy to play with Paris Saint-Germain, and confirmed that he had not decided his future with his French club, amid persistent speculation about his imminent move to Real Madrid.

And yesterday, Tuesday, Mbappe scored PSG's 1-0 victory over Real Madrid in the first leg of the Champions League final price match.

The 23-year-old's contract with Saint-Germain expires at the end of this season.

The French star surprised everyone by speaking fluent Spanish - which he recently learned - during his televised statements after the match, and some considered this a sign of his move to Real Madrid, but his statements yesterday did not show that.

Mbappe told "Movistar" TV station, after winning a goal in stoppage time;

"I haven't decided my future yet, I'm playing for Paris Saint-Germain, which is one of the best clubs in the world."

And after his colleague Lionel Messi missed a penalty kick for Saint Germain, and Real Madrid came close to winning a draw at the Parc des Princes, Mbappe's goal ignited the celebrations of Saint-Germain fans with the fatal victory.

He was asked if this might help him decide his future.

"No, I haven't decided yet, I'm doing my best and then we'll see what happens next season," the France striker replied.

Saint-Germain rejected an offer of about 160 million euros (182 million dollars) from the riyal to join Mbappe last August, although the player's contract was expiring at that time after less than one year.

Many expect Mbappe - who scored 22 goals and made 16 in all competitions with Saint-Germain this season - to join Real in a free transfer at the end of the season, as he rejected several offers to extend his contract.

"How can you ignore the talk (about moving)? It's easy by playing football," Mbappe told Canal Plus.

"We ask a lot of questions, we say a lot of things, and we talk about two big clubs, Paris Saint-Germain and Real," he added.

And the player - the 2018 World Cup winner - continued, "I am a player in Paris Saint-Germain, and I am very happy all the time."
