Former world champion Toni Kroos and former Bayern defender David Alaba would have loved to see world star Kylian Mbappé in the Real Madrid jersey.

"He takes the penalty and scores the goal.

Not everything can be defended," Kroos told the Amazon Prime Video streaming service after the 1-0 defeat in the first leg of the Champions League on Tuesday at Paris Saint-Germain.

His Real team-mate Alaba added: "He's a player who can make the difference, which is very dangerous.

You saw that in the last second.”

Mbappé, of course, who else?

A decisive action that will feed his legend,” wrote the French sports newspaper “L'Équipe”.

The French world champions, who are being courted by Los Blancos, scored the well-deserved winner in the fourth minute of added time.

Before that, he got the penalty, but Lionel Messi missed it.

This threatens the record winner from Madrid with an early end.

"Even if it's unfortunate, the result is still the best," admitted Kroos.

That's how Alaba saw it: "We had few solutions to get forward.

Paris put a lot of pressure on.”

On March 9th there will be a second leg in Madrid.

"We don't have to look any further.

We have a task ahead of us that will be incredibly difficult,” added Kroos.

The fact that Brazil star Neymar made his comeback at Paris doesn't make things any easier.

"The second leg?

We go there to win.

Maintaining a result would not be worthy of PSG," said Mbappé.

It remains to be hoped for the royals that they will at least win the race for the free transfer Mbappé in the summer.

And what did the courted person say on the subject?

“There are too many questions being asked, too much talking.

I do my best and have shown this through my actions," the 23-year-old was quoted as saying in "L'Équipe".

Real almost achieved a goalless draw – until Mbappé struck.

In the final seconds of the game, the 23-year-old dribbled through the Madrid defense and shot the ball through the legs of powerful Real goalkeeper Courtois.

For almost the entire game, the ball had been moving in one direction for the most part: towards the Spaniards' goal.

PSG possessed the ball for long stretches, but initially failed to overcome the royal defense around Courtois.

Even the multiple world footballer Messi showed nerves in the Prinzenpark.

In the 62nd minute, Courtois saved the Argentine's penalty shot down the right, and Mbappé was initially unable to force the win either.

The Belgian also parried his powerful shot (49th minute), but shortly before the end Courtois was powerless.
