Mohamed Sharif was excluded from the Egyptian squad against Senegal.. Al-Shennawi takes the place of Abu Jabal

The coach of the Egyptian national football team, Carlos Queiroz, has decided to exclude Al-Ahly striker Mohamed Sherif from the list of the Pharaohs that will play the two matches of Senegal in the final stage of the World Cup qualifiers.

Sources close to the coach of the Egyptian national team confirmed that Queiroz does not intend to summon the Al-Ahly striker to the Senegal match camp, and that he will be satisfied with Galatasaray striker, Mustafa Mohamed, and Smouha club striker Marwan Hamdi, while following up on the level of Ahmed Yasser Rayan and "Koka".

Queiroz received shocking news that Al Ittihad defender Ahmed Hegazy was unable to catch up in the two matches of Senegal due to injury, in addition to the absence of Akram Tawfiq, who underwent a cruciate ligament operation and will be out of action for about eight months.

It is expected that the two matches of Senegal will witness the summoning of some new elements, including Al-Ahly’s right-back Mohamed Hani, who recently starred in the Club World Cup, and the return of Mohamed Magdy “Qafsha”, after the decision of the Pyramids player, Abdullah Al-Saeed, to retire from international football.

The technical staff of the Egyptian team agreed that Mohamed El-Shennawy would return to defend the national team's den after recovering from injury, and keep Zamalek goalkeeper Mohamed Abu Jabal on the bench, despite his brilliance in the last African Nations Championship.
