Mahmoud Al-Khatib, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Al-Ahly Club, congratulated the fans and members of his club for winning the bronze in the FIFA Club World Cup, which was held recently in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi.

Al-Khatib said in a press conference today: "In the beginning, and before talking about the details of today's conference, I would like to congratulate the fans and members of Al-Ahly and all the fans of the club, on the occasion of obtaining the bronze medal in the Club World Cup, for the second time in a row, and for the third time in Al-Ahly's history. This is an achievement. A new club for the club, we thank God for achieving it, especially since it was achieved in difficult circumstances.”

Al-Khatib added: “When we learned a long time ago that the date of the African Nations Championship conflicted with the Club World Cup, we moved with full force in all legitimate directions, and FIFA and the Confederation of African Football were addressed, and the Egyptian Football Association accepted them to assume its responsibilities in this regard, but in the end we were surprised by the conflict The dates of the two championships and what happened happened, but we raised the slogan of Egypt’s interest first.”
