A “laughing situation” restores the friendly relationship between Mohamed Salah and Mane

Liverpool player, Senegalese, Sadio Mane, confirmed that his relationship with his colleague in the same team, Mohamed Salah, was not affected by what happened in the final of the African Nations Championship, during which the Lions of Al-Tringa won the championship title for the first time in their history at the expense of the Pharaohs.

Mane said in a press statement: “Salah and I spoke for the first time about the final of the African Nations. We remembered together what happened in the penalty shootout. Salah told me why you came to see goalkeeper Mohamed Abu Jabal, and I told him because you were talking to him and I am sure that you will play a mental game.” So I tried to play mind games too, with you.”

He added, "I saw him talking and I'm sure he didn't say anything to the guard, so I wanted to add some fun to it, so I told him to tell him I'd put it on the right side."

He concluded: "We remembered that shot and laughed at it a lot. It was a very funny shot."

He pointed out, "I did not talk to Salah much about the final of the African Nations because I know that he is feeling frustrated so far, and I respect that."

On facing Egypt and Senegal in the World Cup qualifiers, the Liverpool striker said: "We will do everything to qualify for the World Cup. We will be well prepared for that and do everything in our power to win the ticket to qualify because it is very important."
