The website of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and State Supervision Commission Zuo Handi Li Yunshu reported that Zhu Yi laughed.

On the evening of February 15, Zhu Yi appeared on the short program of figure skating women's single skating.

With the melody of "Paint It Black", she is getting better and better, completing all the technical movements.

In the waiting area, in the warm applause and cheers, Zhu Yi smiled and compared his heart to the audience.

This program scored 53.44 points, breaking through the short program results of the team competition.

What does figure skating mean to Zhu Yi?

What is her Olympic selection journey like, and what are her plans for the future?

With these questions, the reporter interviewed Zhu Yi.

From her answer, we can see a more real Zhu Yi - a 19-year-old girl who is serious, sincere, and strives to chase her dreams.

Reporter: When did you get into figure skating?

What are your feelings about figure skating?

Zhu Yi: When I was 7 years old, a friend took me to the ice rink. It was my first time on the ice, and I felt very happy.

After that, I always asked my mother to take me to skate, and my love for figure skating became deeper and deeper.

I like figure skating very much.

Because of different physical conditions and technical conditions, each figure skater has their own characteristics, and they will also show their own personality in skating and performances. They express themselves through programs. I feel that figure skating is very attractive and interesting. a little.

Reporter: Over the past few years, your Chinese has become better and better. Have you done any special training?

Zhu Yi: The most important reason is that I finally returned to China.

Because I have been living in the United States since I was a child, and I have basically been training there during the holidays. The people around me speak English, and there is almost no opportunity to practice Chinese outside.

In fact, this is a little bit of my own fault, because my parents can chat in Chinese at home, and I can understand it a lot of the time, but I don't try to speak it actively, so there will be some difficulties in language organization.

In the past few years after returning to China, everyone in the national training team was very willing to help me. When I could not understand or express clearly, they were never in a hurry. What means.

They also taught me dialects. For example, I found that the Northeast dialect likes to use "sha", what are you doing, what are you looking at, and so on, which is very interesting.

Reporter: How was the practice after returning home?

Zhu Yi: I was not used to it when I first came back. Our coaches are very demanding. For example, they will let me skate two consecutive free skates in a short period of time. This is something I have never tried before.

The training rhythm is also relatively tight. There are 3 to 4 hours of ice practice in the morning and afternoon, evening classes in the evening, and 3 to 4 hours of physical fitness classes a week.

Later, due to the epidemic, it was necessary to close training in the team for a long time, and there was no way to go home. After a long time, there would be times when I would feel very bitter and tired and doubt myself.

Later, I found that the way to overcome difficulties is to practice more, stand up once when you fall down, stand up a hundred times when you fall down a hundred times, and learn slowly and improve slowly in the process.

I am very grateful to the coaching team, I have really improved a lot with their help.

Reporter: A figure skater goes through numerous falls before making a successful jump.

What is it that supports you in continuing to figure skating?

Zhu Yi: Figure skating training is very hard, but every athlete who loves this sport has put in a lot of effort. It is not easy for everyone, not just me.

And because the practice process is very hard, you want to make yourself stronger and love the sport more.

For me, I want to be better every day than the day before, and I want to improve myself in every practice, every game.

Since returning to China, I have always thought and worked so hard.

This idea supports me to continue figure skating.

Reporter: You qualified for the Beijing Winter Olympics after the trials. Can you share your experience in participating in the Olympic trials?

What is the atmosphere like in the team?

Zhu Yi: The trials consisted of 3 rounds and 5 matches. The individual best scores of the 4 matches were added together, and the player with the highest total score was selected to participate in the Beijing Winter Olympics.

All three of our women's singles players fought to the end, and my total score was slightly higher.

Before that, I participated in the Italian Grand Prix of Figure Skating and got my first taste of the World Series.

Under the guidance and help of the coach, my mentality has been greatly improved in a short period of time, and I have refreshed the best results in my personal sports career in Turin. This experience has given me greater confidence in participating in the trials.

My teammates have had great results in the past and we have played together.

During the trials, the short program in the morning and the free skating in the afternoon, this is the first time we have experienced such an intense competition.

Keep repeating the training when there is no competition.

I know everyone feels a lot of pressure because we all really want to be successful, and all three of our girls are great.

I am especially grateful for the opportunity to train with them and play against them.

The atmosphere inside our team is good, everyone supports each other and understands each other.

Because the three of them are working hard for their dreams together, they understand each other's feelings very well.

Reporter: You once said that it is your dream to represent your country in the Olympics.

What does it mean to you to be on the Beijing Winter Olympics now?

Zhu Yi: For me, the meaning is super, super super.

I went to the scene to watch the men's singles free skating competition, and when I saw Jin Boyang's performance, I was so moved that I couldn't hold back my tears.

For us, there have been many difficulties and challenges in the past 4 years, and we have suffered large and small injuries, and we also feel lost because of loss, wondering if I have come here?

In the hardest and most difficult times, what supported us was our belief in representing China in the Olympic Games. My teammates also gave me a lot of support and encouragement, allowing me to find myself again.

I am very grateful to be here.

When I stood on the field in the team competition, I felt "the field is really big", as if the field was bigger than any competition I have participated in.

I especially wanted to perform well and show people what I was capable of, but I couldn't do it, which made me sad.

Reporter: You are 19 years old this year, how do you usually allocate your time for study and training, and what plans do you have for yourself in the future?

Zhu Yi: In order to better participate in the figure skating competition, I temporarily took a break from school this year, because the daily training intensity is very high, and I can only use my spare time to study by myself.

I especially hope that with the help of the platform of the Beijing Winter Olympics, more children in our country will feel the charm of figure skating, become interested in it, and more and more good seedlings will emerge.

I know that our women's singles is still far from the international top level, and I really hope to witness its development and progress.

In the future, I may choose to be a figure skating coach and fight side by side with our coaching team. I also want to invite high-level coaches from abroad to work together to help improve the strength and level of this domestic sport.

As long as I think that there may be young players who will grow up here and finally stand on the podium of international competitions on behalf of China, I think there is nothing more gratifying than this.
