The men's Olympic slalom begins in Beijing on Wednesday.

Kristoffer Jakobsen is the big Swedish medal jump.

The 27-year-old has mixed and given during the season, but the peaks have been high and he is listed for two podium places at the World Cup.

Ingemar Stenmark has not passed by.

- He has ridden very well.

Really, says Stenmark, who himself has won two Olympic gold medals (Lake Placid, 1980).

"Had a little bad luck"

The 65-year-old believes that Jakobsen can win in Beijing.

- He has had a bit of bad luck during the season.

It's time for him now.

He really has the capacity.

If he feels stable and secure, he has the chance.

Chance of gold?

- Absolutely.

He has great chances no matter what.
